2016 Auto Expo: Yamaha Brings in Ray-ZR; Launch in March

Yamaha has unmasked the all new Ray-ZR scooter at the 2016 Auto Expo. The scooter is based on the Ray, the new Ray-ZR is built along the lines of Dio. For power generation Yamaha has employed a Blue Core 113cc engine. Weighing just 103 kg, the power to weight ratio is expected to be decent, although the company has not revealed the power output for the same.

Range topping variants are expected to get disc brakes on the other hand the entry level variants will most likely have to make do with drum brakes. Yamaha will put the peppy scooter on sales shortly sometime in March post Expo. As for pricing, the disc equipped version is likely to be priced at Rs 53,000 and the drum fitted variant will reportedly be priced at Rs 49,000.
